On this guy we have a P235/65R18 tire, so it's already confirmed to fit that 21 OEM tire. So let's go ahead and get started with our installation. So as far as with tire chains, in most cases when you're using it, it's gonna be icy, wet, cold, just conditions that aren't ideal. So it'd be a great idea to actually test fit your chains before you're going to need them. You're gonna make sure you take the solid braided cable and separate this open space in here. more

And we're gonna have them installed on our front tires, and our tire size is gonna be 235/65R18. Then to start off the installation, what I like to do is kinda do it in more of a clean environment. Nothing icy, snowy, because you don't wanna learn how to install these when you're on the road with a lot of ice and snow. Once you're in that nice environment, I just recommend checking over your chains, make sure there's no damages to them and nothing's twisted up. more

If we're not needing something very heavy duty, these can be a great little option either to get it up to state code of the entire chains in there, but they are still gonna be doing a good job of giving us a little bit of bite in that snow and ice, not gonna be anything too crazy. And with the steel rollers on here as well, we are gonna find ourselves having a smoother ride than we might with some of our thicker chains, especially if you're looking at the square links or V-bars. more

What's going on, everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Konig self-tensioning snow tire chains on our 2017 Nissan Murano.We are going to get a diamond pattern with our chains, and they are going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy steel. We have these little steel plates here, and that's going to help kind of break up some of that ice and such like that.Everything that is here is mostly made of metal, besides the little section that's closest to your rims. It's going to be plastic, so it's not really going to scuff your rims if you're in heavier snow and that snow's pushing in on your sidewall. These are going to be a lot more forgiving on your wheels compared to maybe the aggressive ladder pattern style chains, so just be mindful of that.What I really like about it is that the tensioner is built in. You don't have to buy a separate tensioner and keep track of it. more

We're going to be doing a test fit of the Konig self tensioning snow tire chains, now these are going to be on tire size 235/55R20. These chains are going to be a really great tool to have for any inclement weather situations, whether you're experiencing snow, sleet, or even ice. You're going to be able to have these in the trunk of your Murano, get them out, get them installed on your tire, so it can give you more traction and pull you through so you can get to your destination.What's really nice about these tire chains is that they are self tensioning, so you don't have to get any type of rubber adjuster or anything like that to keep them snug against your tire. Right here we have our self tensioning system, making sure that our chains stay snug for the entirety of our trip. These chains are going to have a nice diamond pattern as well, it's going to give you more surface area on your tire to provide more traction. more

Today on our 2014 Nissan Murano, we'll be installing the Glacier Cable snow chains, part number PW1046. This is a pair of snow chains. We'll have one for each side. The cable chains are designed to fit both front and rear wheel vehicles. With the cable chain laid out, we'll go ahead and go over a couple of the features. The cross chain that connects to the sidewall chain will have a hook on it. We'll make sure that the hook side will face out away from the tire and that the smooth surface faces the tire so we don't have to worry about it digging into the sidewall. more
